Meet Shana Jennette, founder of TRUE REFLECTIONS DANCE & FITNESS LLC., Shana is the mother of 2 boys, Jackson (3) and Jacob (2). 

 

Shana has been devoted to a life of health and wellness starting at a young age. She contributes much of her current lifestyle and business philosophy to struggles with self-confidence as a youth and has dedicated her life to empowering women and youth to love and appreciate who they are. Shana has struggled with severe Asthma throughout her life and feels as though it has pushed her to conquer physical goals that she once thought she could not. 

 

Shana has been in dance lessons since the age of 3 and began piano lessons at the age of 6. Shana's performances in musical theater includes a role with RI's Academy Players.

In her late teens, Shana Began teaching swimming lessons, water aerobics, land aerobics, and lifeguard certifications at a local fitness center .

Shana studied Dance and Music at RI College. After an injury, Shana decided to reconsider her major and took an interest in Law and Society, In 2009 and 2010, Shana danced for a local radio station to dance for professional recording artists in concerts and music videos. Shana has run road races and danced for benefits including heart disease, breast cancer, and Military appreciation. In 2006, Shana joined the City of Cranston's Police Department as a patrol officer. In 2015, shortly after having her second son, Jacob, Shana decided to retire from the police department to focus on her business and to spend more time with her family. In 2012, Shana took a position as an adjunct professor with the New England Institute of Technology and continues to teach in the Humanities and Social Science department.

 Krissy has been dancing since the age of 3yo. She received her Bachelors Degree in dance from Roger Williams University, as well as her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. She currently works as an OT with the geriatric population and in her leisure enjoys fitness, dance and yoga. Krissy believes yoga and meditation is important, not only for physical benefits but also for emotional health and well being.

Edie has loved to dance her whole life, taking lessons in ballet, tap, and jazz for over twenty years. Edie's enthusiasm for fitness is recalled from her childhood memories where she would exercise alongside her mom to Jack LaLane on the television. Edie has practiced as a personal trainer and a group fitness instructor for over 14 years. During her fitness career, Edie suffered with Arthritis in her back and turned to Yoga to help with pain management. Edie decided to become a certified yoga instructor so that she could help others. Edie is also a certified Zumba instructor. Edie has a bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and is certified in the areas of Special Education Severe/Profound and Mild/Moderate. She also holds a Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership. Formerly a Special Education Teacher at Meeting Street, Edie is now Teaching Special Education at Toll Gate Hight School. Edie has combined her love of learning, teaching, dancing, and exercising and instructs yoga, yogalates, and Zumba Classes at True Reflections. She believes she learns something new every single day. Her positive attitude and demeanor is an asset to the TRDF family.
